Coco’s family is having a Back-To-School Stokvel to save money for school supplies. Uncle Sam has a plan called the “Apple Plan” that teaches them how to save money. He tells them to only eat eight apples from a tree. To put one apple in the freezer and plant the other one. Coco gets her own money tree and is excited to learn about the plan. Follow Coco’s journey as she discovers the benefits of the Apple Plan, and grows to appreciate the importance of investing after each saving.

Coco wants to buy new sneakers for herself and her best friend Nandi for Christmas. However, Nandi’s comment about Coco’s privilege hurts her feelings, making her wonder if buying new clothes is a waste of money. Coco’s mother helps her realize that it’s okay to spend money on things that make her happy as long as it’s within their budget. Coco decides to make cupcakes to sell at school to earn money to buy the coveted Bathu sneakers. In the end, Coco learns the value of sharing and kindness when she decides to buy Nandi a gift for Christmas.
